Three football players were killed and two additional individuals were harmed following a shooting at the University of Virginia on late Sunday night(13-november-2022), grounds police and university president Jim Ryan affirmed early Monday.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The University of Virginia lifted a campus wide lockdown Monday hours after three students were killed and two harmed in a shooting frenzy on a sanction transport that had gotten back from a field trip, specialists said.
Killed were D'Sean Perry, Lavel Davis Jr. also, Devin Chandler, every one of whom played football at the school, university president Jim Ryan said.
"This is a miserable, stunning and sad day for our UVA people group," Ryan said at a news preparation Monday, adding that specialists didn't have a "full getting it" of the conditions encompassing the shooting.
University authorities have not yet delivered the names of two extra casualties who are being treated for wounds; one is in basic condition.
UVA officials had not yet released information on the type of weapon used in Sunday's shooting.
Students and staff protected set up for approximately 12 hours
"This is an unbelievably miserable day for our local area," Ryan said.
Now Jones faces three counts of second-degree murder and three counts of utilizing a handgun to commit a crime, Longo said. He said Jones had come to the consideration of his specialization in September after somebody revealed that Jones said something about having a firearm, yet nobody detailed really seeing a weapon.
